She studied piano with Professors M. Campajola, M. Immormino and G. Guida; choir conducting with Professors D. Tabbia and T. Nuoranne, composition with Professors G. Colombo Taccani, J. During her artistic path, she actively participated to several master-classes and lectures in composition with Professors P. Valtinoni (2010, Aosta, Italy), A. Solbiati (2012, Latina, Italy), L. Her music has been performed in Europe, England, the United States and Japan at festivals and venues such as Bonn Schumann Festival, Usedom Choral Festival, London Italian Culture Institute, Mise-En Festival, MiTo Settembre Musica, Unione Musicale di Torino, Tonhalle Düsseldorf, Oper Leipzig among others. As a free-lance composer, she has collaborated with internationally recognized artists such as Rohan de Saram, Kölner Vokalsolisten, Coro G and Carlo Pavese, Notabu.Ensemble, ART Ensemble NRW, Akiko Kozato, Sjaella Ensemble, Theresa Klose, Medea Sting Quartet, Junger Kammerchor Düsseldorf, Junger Kammerchor Köln, Rheinstimmen Ensemble, Xizi Wang.

In December 2021, Motette Psallite published the CD “Augen”, recorded by Theresa Klose, which contains her piece for 12 female voices “Climbing”. In 2024, her piece “Vorrei” for vocal ensemble was released as part of the CD “Elements” by Genuin Records. The Album won the highly regarded “Preis der deutschen Schallplatten Kritik” award. In 2025 her arrangements “Aremu rindineddha” and “Fimmine fimmine” will be published in a new CD by Sjaella Ensemble.

Laura has been awarded prizes and recognitions in the field of composition: First Prize and InauditaMusica Prize at the International Composition Competition of Festival Fiati (2014, Novara, Italy), finalist composer at the Areon Flutes International Composition Competition (2016, California, USA), selected composer at Risuonanze Call for Scores (2016, Trieste, Italy) and at Mise-en Music Festival (2017, NYC, USA), finalist composer at Kaleidoscope Orchestra Call for Scores (2017, L.A., USA)

Her last projects include a new version of the famous ballet “Giselle” commissioned by Leipzig Opera and performed by Sjaella and Xizi Wang, and a collaborative piece together with composers Maja Linderoth and Marion Wood that will be performed in December 2025 by Junger Kammerchor Köln. She is currently working mainly as a freelance composer.

Since 2016 she lives and works in Düsseldorf with her husband Gianluca (also a composer) and, most importantly, her cat Pippy. Besides Italian, she speaks French, English and German, but, truth be told, more of a mixture of all the above. Other than music, she likes Japanese culture, crocheting (obsessively), taking long walks in the woods, traveling, cooking for her friends and swimming in the ocean. She hates sports, diets and spiders.

In July 2024 the family got bigger: Lea Nimue was born. Laura is currently on maternity leave until August 2025.
